As a year-round adventure outpost, Jackson Hole has incredible skiing and snowboarding in the winter and unparalleled sightseeing, hiking and biking in the summer; it truly is in a realm of its own as a premier Rocky Mountain destination. Many guests come to Jackson Hole, not only because it is an excellent gateway to Yellowstone National Park, but also because it is a historic landmark representing the best of the American West. Non-stop summer activities and great winter skiing make Jackson Hole a highly visited destination. Here you can find a complete list of Jackson Hole lodging, along with local experts to help you plan your vacation.
During the winter months, epic annual snowfall, 4,139 feet of vertical rise, and the 100-passenger tram make Jackson Hole a true bucket-list ski destination. The mountain combines terrain for all levels of skiers and snowboarders with amazing on-mountain dining including the new Bridger Restaurant complex at the gondola summit and a full service resort at the base. Upgraded lifts ensure quick mountain access to the 2,500 acres of skiable trails and, for the more experienced skier or boarder, provide entrance into more than 3,000 acres of backcountry terrain through the open gate system. With the longest continuous vertical rise in the nation and an epic annual snowfall of 450-plus inches, Jackson Hole dominates every list of top ski resorts.
Jackson Hole is also a very environmentally conscious location. Jackson Hole Mountain Resort offsets 100 percent of its energy with renewable energy credits, recycles 1/3 of its trash annually, and is third-party ISO certified as a “green” company—the second of only two ski resorts in the U.S. to achieve this recognition.
